Six of us set out from East Harptree in glorious sunshine. We walked over fields to our first stop at Litton Lakes, where we had our coffee break on a grassy area between the two lakes.

Our walk then took us through the village of Litton before climbing up through fields to a high point where we had lunch with fantastic views over Chew Valley Lake and the surrounding areas.

We then continued our walk through East Harptree Woods, where we saw the historical Smitham Chimney. After entering East Harptree Coombe we encountered the obstacle course of climbing under and over fallen trees to make our way back down to the village below. An enjoyable walk with varied terrain!

Looks like an interesting walk, can’t wait to get my uniform!
