Long Walkers: Badminton estate – 8¼ miles

The official guide book says this: Great Badminton and Little Badminton, Sopworth and Luckington — a quartet of delightful Cotswold-style villages scattered in and around the Badminton Estate. The landscape may be gently undulating rather than spectacular, but it is the human interest that makes such a charming corner of the country. Here can be found traditional stone cottages and ancient churches, dry-stone walls and fine old inns, grand mansions and secluded country lanes.

We do actually pass close to where the Badminton Horse Trials are held, so we might even see the odd horse.
