Walk Leader: Julie Constable
Thirteen walkers met at Leighterton telephone box (now the village defibrillator) for the start of today’s walk.

Leaving the pretty stone cottages of Leighterton, we passed the village pond and headed towards Didmartin along the quiet road.

Crossing fields, we then entered Westonbirt Arboretum along a permissive path. The path led us through the beautiful trees of the Arboretum where we stopped for coffee. The autumn sun illuminated the stunning red and gold colours of the leaves.

We then left the Arboretum through woodland, along the Monarch’s Way path.

Crossing fields we then returned to Leighterton, stopping to admire the 13th Century Church, St Andrews Church.

A very enjoyable walk in the autumn sun.
Thank you so much for a lovely walk
