13 members travelled to the Lamb Inn, Mangotsfield where we parked to begin our walk led by Dave Godden.
Mangotsfield proved to be an attractive village with many green spaces, woodlands and parks. Our route took us through a complex network of leafy footpaths, mainly off-road, and through woodland until we reached Pomphrey Park, where we enjoyed tea and coffees in glorious sunshine overlooking the sports fields.
Suitably refreshed, we had a group photo before continuing along more attractive paths, eventually returning to the Lamb Inn where 12 of us were booked for lunch.
We enjoyed a pleasant meal and very sociable company before making our way home. A very pleasant walk of 2.5 miles in beautiful autumn sunshine and colour.
