From Wells Cathedral, the walk follows part of the East Mendip Way, through Croscombe and Dinder. There is one short climb near the start and then easy walking along footpaths through fields and woods. There are great views of the cathedral on the return.

The city of Wells takes its name from three wells dedicated to Saint Andrew: one in the market place and two within the grounds of the Bishop’s Palace and cathedral.
