This walk starts and ends at the Rose & Crown in Hinton Charterhouse. After about 3¼ miles, you get to Stoney Littleton Longbarrow, which is just a short deviation off the path, and a suitable place to take a short break. After that, you head off towards Norton St. Philip, and from there you head back to Hinton Charterhouse. There are a couple of lengthy sections on country lanes with high hedgerows, which make it more suitable for a winter walk. However, that doesn't mean it won't be muddy in places, but the walk is mostly not very exposed if there is a cold wind.
