On a rather cloudy Saturday in July, Tony led 7 Walkers on a very scenic walk around Box and Colerne. The walk started from the recreation ground car park and along the By brook, where we saw swans with their cygnets, and onto Widdenham Farm where we had a short stop for coffee.
We then had a bit of a climb up the hill to the 15th century St. Johns Church at Colerne, by which time the sun was shining and sitting on the benches having our packed lunch was really warm. Exploring the churchyard we found the RAF memorial and war graves.
Setting off again through Colerne, a typically pretty Wiltshire village, we slowly descended back to Box and our cars.
