Walk Leader: Colin Marks
Eleven of us met at the Rudleigh Inn car park, Easton in Gordano to start our walk through Prior’s Wood and Portbury. Heading south, towards the Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm, there were good views across Portbury Docks, Avonmouth and the Severn Bridges. As we passed the Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm, we spotted an elephant, rhino and camels.
Wild garlic and masses of bluebells lined the whole walk and were particularly beautiful in Prior’s Wood where we stopped for lunch. Unlucky for Dave, a passing dog spotted his lunch box and ate all his ginger biscuits before Dave had a chance to rescue them.
Leaving Prior’s Wood, we walked through Portbury Village and back to the Rudleigh Inn as the sun started to shine. A beautiful and very enjoyable walk.
