Walk Leader: Amanda Speed
Nine Amblers met at Saltford Hall for today’s walk to Bath.

From Saltford Hall, we walked towards the Bristol-Bath cycle path in perfect walking conditions. The weather was dry and cool.
The walk continued uphill all the way to Prospect Stile (Lansdown Race Course). Our route went via Kelston Cheese Cafe footpath and the lane towards Kelston Roundhill.

The long climb to Prospect Stile was well worth it. There were great views from the bench at the top where we paused for a rest.
The walk continued along the edge of Lansdown Race Course through beautiful meadow grass and buttercups, towards Weston Lane and Lansdown playing fields. The path then followed the top of the ridge below Beckford’s Tower.

Our route continued downhill through Primrose Community Forest to the top of Weston Village, Bath. One last incline on the road towards Sion Hill then brought us to Victoria Park and the bus stop for home.
