7 of us set off after coffee and comfort stop at the Oldbury Community Shop, in light drizzle following the route through the village and beyond along a green lane to reach the power station access road.

Following a footpath diversion, we reached an embankment for the deep rhynes in the area which was our path through fields to our coffee break at the junction with Rockhampton Rhyne.

Following this, we came to the village of Hill, which is very small and not very high.

After Hill, we followed the very long Stuckmoor lane to emerge at the Severn where we took lunch.

For the rest of the walk we kept the Severn on our right till we came to the power station which is massive when you’re close by.

By this time, the sun was shining, and we could stroll back to our cars.

The distance was just under 11 miles and almost completely flat!
