This walk is featured in a book by Robin Tetlow, and contains panoramic views throughout, especially from Cowhill Churchyard. Walking along the Severn Estuary, there are views of Oldbury Power Station and the Severn Bridge.

This circular walk near the edge of Bath takes in the Bath Mill, Newton St. Loe and the River Avon. Long Walkers: Berkeley – 10 miles

Along the way, we will see the The Purton Hulks (or Purton Ships’ Graveyard) which is a number of abandoned boats and ships, deliberately beached beside the River Severn near Purton in Gloucestershire, to reinforce the river banks. Amblers: Chew Valley Lake – 5 miles

Starting at the Chew Valley car park, the walk follows alongside the lake to Hollow Brook, up Knowle Hill (with great view across Chew Valley Lake), to Chew Magna and then back along the River Chew to the start at Chew Valley Lake.
